Premier Anna Bligh and Liberal National Party (LNP) leader Campbell Newman are both campaigning in Brisbane on Friday.
Ms Bligh and Mr Newman will also start their days in the Queensland capital on Saturday.
The political world was rocked on Thursday when it was revealed that a shot was fired into the office of Liberal National Party MP Michael Crandon's electoral office on the Gold Coast.
It hit the ceiling and a wall before disintegrating.
"It's a little bit concerning when you come into the office to find a bullet was shot through the window," Mr Crandon told AAP.
The incident was discovered around 8.15am (AEST) on Thursday when staff arrived for work.
